A Chocolate a Day Keeps the Doctor Away?!?
Maybe even two chocolates.
That’s the latest word from the Strang Cancer Prevention Center at Weill Cornell Medical College.
In fact, dark chocolate holds a prominent place on the Strang list of foods that pack the biggest disease-fighting punch (along with red grapes, spinach, olive oil, and more).
“One-third of cancers can be attributed to a poor diet and a sedentary lifestyle,” says Michael P. Osborne, M.D., president of the Strang Center.
Does that mean you can go hog-wild with the chocolate in the name of health? Afraid not. No one food is a magic bullet. Rather, they work their power as part of an overall healthy diet and lifestyle.
